Recent advances in data science and AI have opened numerous avenues for optimizing business operations in a variety of sectors, including the manufacturing sector. Process mining and predictive process monitoring are two families of techniques in this space, which have witnessed rapid development and vigorous adoption in the past few years. This webinar will introduce a selection of techniques, tools, and case studies to illustrate how process mining and predictive process monitoring is helping businesses to increase customer engagement, improve customer experience, and enhance efficiency and quality.
The speaker for the webinar is Marlon Dumas who’s Professor of Information Systems at University of Tartu, Estonia. He is currently recipient of an Advanced Grant from the European Research Council with the mission of developing algorithms for automated identification and assessment of business process improvement opportunities. He is also co-founder of Apromore Pty Ltd – a company dedicated to developing and commercialising an open-source process mining and predictive monitoring solution. His research in the field of business process management and process mining has led to numerous research publications, 10 US/EU patents, and a textbook (Fundamentals of Business Process Management) used in over 250 universities worldwide.

This webinar is part of a series consisting of six webinars taking place within the framework of the InnoCAPE project, which designs a cooperation model to develop a digital innovation ecosystem in the Baltic Sea region and enhances the capacity of digital innovation hubs (DIHs) in the Baltic Sea region.
